Edward Steinbeigle

Edward has been coloring hair for over 26 years. He has been featured in several magazines such as Elle, Chicago, Nylon, and Self Magazine who named him “Best Colorist in the Mid-West”.   He has also crossed over into TV by creating makeovers for MTV and local talk shows.  Edward’s training has been with some of the best colorists in the industry from London, San Francisco, and New York.  He can achieve colors from the very natural, as if the sun came down and kissed your head, to the outrageous and everything in between.  Fully trained by RUSK, Edward is also an accomplished hair cutter. His style is considered to be urban street wear hair with controlled chaotic texture.  All in all, easy wear hair for all walks of life.

Ken Maddex

Ken started his passion early on in hair and has been a leader in the beauty industry for the last 25 years. His passion has continued to deepen and grow since picking up the sheers at 16 years old.  Ken’s career includes being an educator for two large beauty companies, photo work, and demonstrating his technique during annual hair shows.
However, Ken’s true love is working in a neighborhood salon where he can build beautiful and creative relationships with his clients.  Ken comes to us with a strong portfolio from his previous salon employment including Salon 10, T. Salon and Gallery, and Robert Jeffrey.

With over 25 years of experience doing hair, Sy currently splits her time between working at Alchemia Art of Hair and Hair Police located in Minnesota.  After 20 years of work at Hair Police, Sy began looking for a change and came to our salon to grow her Chicago based clientele.  Sy is a graduate of the Horst Education Center in MN and was previously a Rusk educator who trained her peers in advanced cutting techniques and color.  When you meet Sy, you will quickly see her passion for funky color and hair extensions.  As Sy says, “I find that it’s not just the aesthetic…it’s about the collaboration and connection with people that continue to inspire me.  I want to help create and enhance you.”

Xander is a Chicago native with a passion for beauty. Growing up, Xander idolized the beauty industry for its artistry and inclusivity. We are lucky to have him join our team because he brings his talent and specialization in blowouts, styling, and make-up after perfecting such skills at DryBar for the last 6 years.
